New Map for Joondalup Metro Series
Monday, 16 January 2012
This week’s Be Active Metro Series event will be at Arena Joondalup, a new area mapped by Glenn Meyer for Orienteering WA. The event starts at the usual time of 5.00pm on Saturday 21st January, with registration open from 4.15pm.
Metro Series events are great for beginners, so if you’ve always wanted to try Orienteering come along and join in! There will be a briefing session for newcomers at 4.45pm, just turn up and register.
It’s easy to get to Arena Joondalup – just follow the Mitchell Freeway North to the Shenton Avenue exit, turn right towards Joondalup Drive where you turn left, then take the first left (Kennedya Drive) into the Arena car park and look for Be Active Orienteering signs.
Last week’s event at Halls Head, Mandurah was won by Craig Dufty (Long), Lee Holliday (Medium), and mother/son pair Sophie Giles and Hunter Giles-Shanley (Short); Hunter just turned 5 last week!
Results and Progress Scores.
